Mark Oliver

 Aquaculture Trainer

Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE

 

Mark Oliver is an aquaculture trainer at the Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE’s Nambour campus situated on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. He has a Diploma of Aquaculture, a Bachelor of Science degree and post-graduate Honours in aquaculture.

Involved in commercial aquaculture for over 10 years, Mark now is part of the aquaculture training team at Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE. With a fully functional aquaculture facility on campus, that has both fresh and salt-water capacity, the future of hands on aquaculture training has never looked better in Queensland.

 Mark’s role in the aquaculture training team is to run the ever-expanding traineeship program and this is the basis for the presentation. Aquaculture traineeships are highly suited to commercial fin-fish facilities and are a real opportunity for industry to gain quality staff.
