


Mark
Oliver is an aquaculture trainer at the Cooloola Sunshine Institute of
TAFE’s Nambour campus situated on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. He has a
Diploma of Aquaculture, a Bachelor of Science degree and post-graduate
Honours in aquaculture.
Involved in commercial aquaculture for over 10 years, Mark now is part of
the aquaculture training team at Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE. With a
fully functional aquaculture facility on campus, that has both fresh and
salt-water capacity, the future of hands on aquaculture training has never
looked better in Queensland.
Mark’s role in the aquaculture training team is to run the ever-expanding
traineeship program and this is the basis for the presentation. Aquaculture
traineeships are highly suited to commercial fin-fish facilities and are a
real opportunity for industry to gain quality staff.
