OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION

1. To lobby Government on matters concerning the industry      6. To ensure equal opportunities within the industry on    matters bought to the association  
2. To lobby Government to spend funds on research   7. To ensure a reliable supply of product to the market.  
3. To hold industry workshops.   8. To promote consumer education on species grown.  
4. To promote good will and communications within the industry. 

  9. To promote and represent the interests of the industry as a   whole.  
5. To promote good relations with Government and Private sector bodies

CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP

The membership shall consist of any of the following classes of members

(A) Associate members - Do NOT have the right to vote

(B) Licensed Members - Shall consist of people who hold a Aquaculture licence/permit with one vote per Licence/permit.
(C) Interstate licensed member - Shall consist of people who hold an aquaculture licence in an Australian state other than Queensland. One vote per licence/permit, limited to national issues, i.e.

Where two or more people operate the one licence only one membership fee is applicable.

The number of members in each class shall be unlimited
